Bizarre Mosaic Favia Coral

Favia corals, commonly identified as Favia sp. or closely related merulinid brain corals, are large-polyp stony corals with rounded corallites, bold color patterning, and a brain-like skeletal structure. Their contrasting colors and textured growth make them popular collector LPS corals.
Care Guide: Place Favia sp. in moderate light with moderate, indirect flow. Give it space from nearby corals, as Favia-type corals can extend sweeper tentacles at night. Maintain stable alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium for skeletal growth. Occasional small meaty feedings can support tissue health and growth.
